Alex Bogomolov Jr.

Alex was born in Moscow, Russia, and grew up in Miami, FL. He is fluent in Russian, English, and Spanish.
He started playing tennis at the age of 3 with his father, Alex Sr., a six-time Soviet Union champion. Alex reached a career-high ranking of #1 as a junior in the U.S. and #33 on the ATP Tour. He also competed in the Olympics and Davis Cup in 2012.
Professional Experience
After retiring from professional tennis in 2014, Alex Bogomolov Jr. began his coaching career by founding his own academy in North Carolina. In 2019, he made his ATP coaching debut, working with two professional tennis players. In 2024, Alex expanded his coaching experience to the WTA Tour. Later that year, he moved to New Jersey and joined IA Tennis Academy and Park Avenue Tennis Center to focus on the junior development of his children, Maddox and Zoya, while contributing to the growth of tennis in Monmouth County.
Playing Experience
Ranked #1 junior in the U.S. in the 14s, 16s, and 18s divisions.
Reached a career-high ATP singles ranking of World No. 33 and doubles No. 62.
Competed in the 2012 London Olympics and was a member of the Russian Davis Cup team.
Defeated multiple Top 10 players during his professional career, including Andy Murray (#3), Tommy
Haas (#3), and David Ferrer (#4), among others.
Brings years of experience coaching ATP and WTA professionals.
