Emer Cruz
Tennis Professional – USTA Tournament Director
Emer played collegiate tennis at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ, and was a nationally ranked USTA junior. A dedicated tennis dad, he remains deeply passionate about growing the game at all levels.
Professional Experience
With over 20 years of experience in tennis, Emer Cruz is a USPTA Certified Teaching Professional, USTA Tournament Director, and USTA Certified Official. He has run junior and adult prize money tournaments for over 15 years and was named the 2020 USTA Eastern Tournament Director of the Year. He also served as a USTA Zonal National Championship Coach (BG12, 2022). His daughter, Marcella Cruz, trained at USTA Player Development for 10 years, was part of TEAM USA, won five Gold Balls, and played collegiate tennis at Vanderbilt University and Wake Forest.
