Hector Molina
Tennis Professional
Hector began playing tennis at 12 in Puerto Rico under Don Juan Trios, coach of former WTA world No. 1 doubles player Gigi Fernández. He competed in the Puerto Rican Junior Circuit before moving to Staten Island at 15, where he played No. 1 singles and led his high school team to three consecutive city conference titles. He then played Division II college tennis at the College of Staten Island.
Professional Experience
His coaching career started in 2012 at the College of Staten Island Community Tennis Center. He later coached at Centercourt Marlboro, earning USPTA and USPTR certifications, and worked with Ad-In Tennis Academy, a nonprofit supporting student-athletes. Since 2018, he has been coaching at Park Avenue Tennis Center.
Hector’s coaching philosophy emphasizes hard work and dedication. He keeps sessions fun and engaging while pushing players to reach their full potential.
